WOMAN FOUND BURIED IN SHALLOW GRAVE, HUSBAND ARRESTED IN KAJIADO

Detectives in Isinya, Kajiado County, have arrested a man suspected of killing his 34-year-old wife, Farida Peter Sangka, and allegedly attempting to conceal the crime by burying her body in a shallow grave at their farm in Entarakuet.

The investigation began after Ndayishimiye Deo, a Burundian national employed as a farmhand by the suspect, reported the alleged incident to police.

According to the report, the farmhand told detectives that his employer, identified as Shon David Rabassa Kioko, had allegedly killed his wife and instructed him to help bury her body.

Detectives who responded to the report arrested both Kioko and Deo as investigations got underway.

The scene was secured, and the woman's body was later exhumed in the presence of a pathologist, Ministry of Health officials and police officers for forensic examination.

The remains were subsequently transferred to Nairobi Funeral Home, where they are being preserved pending a postmortem examination to establish the cause and circumstances of death.

Kioko and Deo remain in police custody as detectives continue investigating the incident.

The Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) has condoled with the family and loved ones of the deceased, while reaffirming its commitment to pursuing justice.

The suspects remain innocent unless and until proven guilty by a court of law.
