DCI Arrests Suspect, Recovers Stolen Samsung S24 Ultra in Lang’ata Robbery

Detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) in Lang’ata have arrested a robbery suspect and recovered a Samsung S24 Ultra allegedly stolen from a woman during a broad-daylight robbery along Lang’ata Road.

According to the DCI, the incident occurred near Luqman Petrol Station, opposite Uhuru Gardens, where the woman was walking when two men riding a motorcycle, registration KMHA 861F (Boxer), allegedly approached her.

The pillion passenger is said to have assaulted the woman before snatching her phone, after which the two suspects fled towards Nyayo Stadium.

Detectives launched a pursuit that eventually led them to Kariobangi, where one of the suspects, John Kamiti Nderitu, was cornered and arrested.

The stolen Samsung S24 Ultra was recovered, together with the motorcycle allegedly used during the robbery. The motorcycle has been detained as an exhibit as investigations continue.

The DCI said detectives are still pursuing the second suspect, who remains at large.
